Our Story

We’re Vince and Anne-Marie, and The Pantry has been our passion project from the very beginning. When we opened our doors, our dream was simple: to create a place where people could enjoy great food, warm hospitality, and feel completely at home.

From the start, we wanted The Pantry to have two sides to its personality. By day, a relaxed café — somewhere you can pop in for coffee and cake, or take a break over a wholesome lunch. By night, a restaurant with a little more atmosphere, where we can showcase seasonal dishes, carefully chosen wines, and the kind of dining experience that makes an evening special.

We’ve always believed in keeping things local — from the suppliers we work with to the community we serve. Our menus are built around fresh, seasonal produce, with favourites you’ll recognise alongside ever-changing specials that reflect what’s best at the time.

Over the years, The Pantry has grown into more than just a place to eat. It’s become part of the fabric of Newmarket — a spot where friends meet, families celebrate, and visitors feel welcome. That’s exactly what we set out to achieve, and we’re so proud that it’s become a reality.

Of course, The Pantry wouldn’t be what it is without our incredible team. From the kitchen to the front of house, our staff share our passion for great food and genuine hospitality, and we’re proud of the warm, welcoming atmosphere they create every day.

This is our story so far, but we’re always looking ahead — creating new menus, planning special events, and finding ways to make The Pantry a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
